The client recognised the value of an innovation program but wished to take a staged approach to exploring the optimal format.
- IIG introduced the client to its InnoModules program, a structured approach for identifying key challenges facing the organisation; the resources available to implement new ideas; and potential ways to generate and capture optimal ideas for enhancing organisational outcomes.
- A Challenge Identification Model and a Resource Assessment Model were given to key managers. A subsequent workshop established the proposed innovation framework and priority challenges.
- Identified 7 strategic improvement areas and 3 priority organisational challenges requiring innovative ideas.
- The initial challenge focus is on facility innovation (buildings, etc.) and activities are currently underway to identify novel ideas; undertake assessments against the organisational strategy; and to define innovation implementation strategies.
